New Years day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th July Christmas day, and Thanksgiving
Every booking has calendar hold dates. “Calendar hold dates” are unpaid dates I hold for you on my calendar since even with the best EDD the baby’s arrival into the world can be unpredictable.
Calendar hold dates are made:
a) Non high risk single pregnancy - up to 7 days prior to EDD to 5 days past EDD
b) Diagnosed high risk single or multiple pregnancies - up to 14 days before EDD.
Clients are contracted in one of two ways from the EDD.
1. Reserved booking "Reserved" means I will hold those days just for you and accept no potentially conflicting jobs. The minimum reserved booking is 1 weeks rate. This is:
a) Fully applied to the contracted rate at end of assignment
b) Refundable if cancelled within 2 months of EDD
If everything goes as planned and the baby arrives on time, then I will apply the full retainer at the end of the contracted assignment.
2. Open booking is subject to being double booked. If I end up working with a different client on the days agreed, then I will recommend an associate of mine to work with you
Cancellations/ Changes
After a booking is reserved, if you cancel the initial deposit will be retained, by the Newborn care specialist, given that I did not accept other work for those days that were reserved for you.
If after cancellation I am able to rebook with another client in this time,
I will gladly refund your initial deposit.
Special considerations
If your baby spends more than 7 days in NICU, causing the Newborn Care Specialist to start significantly past EDD, the Newborn Care Specialist will not charge for days of employment lost, and reserves the right to book other clients. If I rebook with another client, another qualified Newborn Care Specialist will be assigned to you.
